Death Doula Sessions

Bless founder Ashlyn Gibson is passionate about embracing the inevitability of death as an integral part of life. By working through deeply embedded feelings, reservations and fears about death we can take a sensitive yet frank approach to our own ending. 

Ashlyn offers a series of sessions to explore and determine an individual end-of-life plan. Guiding you through practical, emotional and spiritual considerations will enable you to make empowered decisions.

Through her renowned work as a lifestyle and interior stylist, Ashlyn understands the power and importance of nurturing  environments. Creating a bespoke space or living altar with treasured photographs, symbolic belongings, candlelight and music that honours the individual can bring comfort and reassurance to loved ones and their families. 

As a published author, Ashlyn has an understanding of the power and potency of the written word and images. If you struggle to put your thoughts on paper or need some help in leaving something meaningful for your loved ones Ashlyn can help you to write your memoir or to create a memory box. She can help you to create a collection of future dated cards or letters for loved ones. 

As a certified sound practitioner, Ashlyn can bring the healing art of sound to nurturing  bedside sessions.  Helpful for individuals as well as loved ones Ashlyn will create a bespoke sound journey to guide you in a state of deep relaxation and release.

Her hope is that you will play the long game and give yourself time to explore your own feelings and options around end of life - but it is never too late. Many of her clients come to her in the final days and Ashlyn can still offer some help, guidance and support.

Death Doula work can continue in the space between death and a funeral or end of life celebration. Working together with families Ashlyn can help to create space and ritual that can help with mourning and processing loss.

Sessions can be held at your home, at a hospice or care home, at the Bless Warehouse. or in nature.

Ashlyn is a member of End of Life Doula UK, has been hosting death cafes and grief circles since 2022 and is co-founder of A Good Death Salon.
