Vintage Kantha Scarf 062
Vintage Kantha Scarf 062
A vintage kantha scarf is a wearable and versatile artisan treasure. Wrapped, tied, bowed they are a lend themselves to creative styling. Worn simply they add texture and colour to an outfit. Cooling in the Summer and warming in the Winter this will become a year round favourite and wardrobe staple.
Traditionally Bengali women used a simple embroidery "kantha" stitch to upcycle fabrics creating a revived and new textile. Loose ends of the thread create a simple raw tassled hem.
