A sky to rise through

Joyful Escapism #2 is part of JulipDilla’s second edition of mono-prints — a collection where each piece whispers the same story, yet no two tell it in quite the same way. This work begins with a painted skyscape: soft, shifting, expansive. Rays are screen printed over the top like beams breaking through cloud — a quiet moment of lift, of inner light.

Each print is a meditation on movement, a captured breath of freedom and flight.

Why We Love It

JulipDilla, one of our favourite local artists, weaves emotion into every layer. Her work feels spontaneous yet deeply intentional — the result of hands that trust the process. This piece, like much of her work, holds tension and release: grounded skies and rising lines, quiet colour with bold gesture. It’s the kind of art that meets you where you are — and lifts you, gently, from there.
